Disability Peterborough is still very much open to any enquiries, information or services required for physically disabled people in the Peterborough region.
Our specialist disability benefit advisors are continuing with a full range of services. This includes specific advice and case work from helping to complete applications for Personal Independence Payments and Attendance allowance through to mandatory reconsiderations and tribunal representation.
We are running a wellbeing telephone service for anyone with a physical disability and their carers. If you or anyone you know anyone who would appreciate a regular call then just let us know. The wellbeing calls are carried out by experienced case workers who have a wealth of knowledge and can also answer a wide range of enquiries relating to disability issues.
We have closed all of our activities and the Shopmobility service until the government says it is safe to resume them.
We know that stocks of certain items have become very scarce and hard to source from paracetamol tablets to continence products. We also know that getting home deliveries from supermarkets has become severely restricted. If you have run out of items then please let us know and we will do our upmost to source them for you. We’re working closely with other agencies both locally and nationally and any gaps in services for disabled people we find will be fed through to government through our close working relationship with Disability Rights UK.
All of our advisors are currently working remotely, but the contact number and office hours remain the same (Monday to Thursday 10am to 4pm). During this time, we’ll be doing our very best to offer our usual level of service, but our phone lines may be more busy than usual so please bear with us. You can ring is on (01733) 265551 and leave a message or you can try emailing us: email@example.com. Our voicemail and emails are monitored during office hours and will get back to you as quickly as possible
We know it’s important to keep you updated on current information for disabled people and we will be suspending our usual website information and replacing it with important material more relevant to the current crisis situation. Staying connected to others is important at a time like this. You can follow and like us on social media
